OMNES : The Journal of multicultural society

Aims and Scope

OMNES provides a discursive forum for researchers and practitioners from all countries in the world to facilitate and exchange diverse perspectives, analyses, and ideas related to multiculturalism.

OMNES invites submissions from researchers in all academic disciplines, including the humanities and social sciences.

OMNES publishes rigorous theoretical and empirical research articles, review articles, and book reviews that deal with themes concerning the global movement of people, multicultural societies, cultural diversity, social integration, issues of human security and human rights related to migration, and other related topics.

The types of papers published by OMNES are as follows: original research papers, review articles, book reviews.

  • * Research papers
Original full-length research papers that have not been published previously, except in a preliminary form, can be submitted and should not exceed 10,000 words from introduction to conclusion (not including references).
  • * Review articles
Authors may review articles or other "texts" to show how these materials illuminate a larger conceptual or normative concern. Review articles vary in length, averaging about 8,000 words. While review articles sometimes originate from proposals submitted to the editorial office, many result from invitations that our managing editor extends to specific authors.
  • * Book review articles
Book Review publishes single, double, and triple book reviews (typically 1,000, 1,500, and 2,000 words, respectively). It also publishes symposia, critical exchanges, and review essays. The Review section accepts neither unsolicited reviews nor requests to review particular books. All pieces published in the Book Review section are commissioned and edited by the editor.
